憐れみを知りたくて夜の里山に入った日。街では祭りが催されている。失敗や傷つけ合い、闇との葛藤がありながら、なお山では虫が鳴いていて、里では人々が祭りに集う。命が日々与えられ、また愛の実践に挑める。それ自体が大いなる憐れみであると気付かさせてくれた、一人山で描いた線を元に。

To meditate on the Mercy of the Lord,
I ventured to the low mountains near central Hadano. In the town below, a festival glows. 
In life where failure, hurting, pain, and fighting evil are constant, the insects still chirp in the hills and the people gather to festivities in the streets. The gift of life daily, another chance to Love, in itself is mercy.  This painting developed through the lines that I drew in the hills that night, in meditation.
