1998年神奈川県相模原市生まれ。

1歳から10歳までをアメリカ・フィラデルフィアで過ごし、以後関東を拠点とする。都立国際高校の美術教師に師事し、20世紀の国内外の油画家を参考にしつつ独自の画法を探求する。2017年に東京藝術大学美術学部油画科に入学、学部四年を修了し2021年卒業。
卒業後は個展にて作品の発表をしつつ、登山や長期の隔離、労働といった独自の取材方法で制作の探求を深める。2022年には千葉県加曾利で改心しキリスト者となり、聖書の画題を扱う福音絵画を今日の活動の中心としている。絵画の他に音楽家としての活動があり、現在は路上での演奏を活動の主としている。　

Ian Inoue Ahern is a Japanese American painter musician born 1998 in Kanagawa, Japan. Raised in Philadelphia ages 1 to 10, is now active in the Kanto area of Japan, mainly Tokyo. After attaining mentorship in oil painting from T Nomura at Kokusai Metropolitan Highschool, Tokyo, he entered the Fine Arts department of Tokyo University of the Arts in 2017, graduating 2021.
Since, the artist has exhibited frequently in Tokyo, while developing a unique approach to his craft. A involved creative style including mountaineering, occasional periods of voluntary solitary confinement and/or manual labor has become the base of his activity. In 2022 During research in Kasori, Chiba Japan, he experienced Christ and converted to Christianity. Since, Gospel paintings considering Biblical materical have become the focal point of his work. Aside from painting he is also an active muscian, now mainly performing on the street corners of Tokyo.
