本展は、東京での初個展として、今とそしてこれまでの自分らしさを意識して選抜した作品を展示いたします。

本個展、そしてメインビジュアルのタイトルでもある「此岸以上彼岸未満」は、生と死のあいだにある曖昧な領域を指す言葉です。現実と幻想、此岸と彼岸。そのどちらとも断言できない境界を、表現しました。

私の作品には骨や蛇、果実といったモチーフが繰り返し登場します。

身体は食べたものでできている。血肉は、かつて別の命だったものの変換形である—–そうした生命の循環を模索しながら制作しています。

本作では血肉を直接描くことはありません。果実や蛇を内臓の比喩として用い、肉体を象徴へと置き換えることで、グロテスクでありながらグロくない、どこか神聖さを帯びた生命の姿の表現を試みました。

生と死が明確に分かたれない、その揺らぎの中に立ち現れる世界を、ぜひ様々な解釈でご覧いただけましたら幸いです。

This exhibition marks my first solo show in Tokyo and presents a selection of works chosen with a conscious reflection on who I am now, as well as who I have been.

The title of this exhibition, which also serves as the main visual’s title, “More Than This Shore, Less Than the Other Shore,” refers to the ambiguous realm between life and death. Reality and illusion, this shore and the other shore—what I attempt to express is the boundary that cannot be definitively claimed as either.

Motifs such as bones, snakes, and fruit repeatedly appear in my work.

The body is made of what it consumes. Flesh and blood are transformed forms of what was once another life—through this perspective, I create while exploring the circulation of life.

In these works, flesh and blood are not depicted directly. Instead, fruit and snakes are employed as metaphors for internal organs, replacing the physical body with symbols. By doing so, I attempt to portray a form of life that is grotesque yet not grotesque, imbued with a certain sacredness.

I would be delighted if you could encounter the world that emerges within the wavering space where life and death are not clearly separated, and interpret it freely through your own perspectives.
